Albert Guggenbiller

Albert Guggenbiller, 89, of Medina, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, in Medina.

 

He was born Dec. 6, 1917, in St. Wendelin, Ohio, and was a shipping clerk for Tru-Fit Screw, retiring after 43 years of service. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Medina Senior Citizens and AARP 2095 of Medina. Mr. Guggenbiller enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles and was an avid Indians fan. He served in the Army during World War II.

 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth (nee Kriebel); daughter, Mary Ann (Bob) Hitzelberger of Medina; granddaughters, Amy (Alex) Ripple of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Katie Hitzelberger of Beaver Creek, Ohio; great-granddaughter, Sabrina Ripple; sisters, Loretta (Dale) Sprague of Elyria and Matilda Meinerding of St. Henry, Ohio; brother, Charles Guggenbiller of North Ridgeville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Clara; brothers, Joseph, Leo and Norman; and parents, John and Mary Guggenbiller.

 

Mass of Christian Burial: 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina.

 

Burial: St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.

 

Visiting hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
