Kenneth George Politowicz, 81, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Hospice of Western Reserve in Medina. He was born September 3, 1935 to the late Laura (nee Raczkowska) and Florian Politowicz.
He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and retiree from UCAR. During his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and golfing. Kenn was a member of Brunswick VFW Post 9520 and worked for many years with the Brunswick Recreation Department developing many of the youth leagues in Brunswick. He was inducted into the Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame for the culmination of years and dedication he had with the recreation department.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra (nee Davis) Politowicz; loving children, Craig Politowicz, James Politowicz, Loriann Hutchins; stepchildren, Shella Travarca (James), Richard Bagger (Jill) and dear grandchildren, Craig Politowicz, Jr., Rachel Dobson, Brianna Hutchins, Kendall Travarca, Leah Hutchins and Anthony Politowicz.
He was preceded in death by his children, Terrance Politowicz and Christopher Politowicz and siblings, Edward Politowicz, Richard Phillips and Emily Phillips.
A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A memorial service will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Brunswick United Methodist Church, 1395 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, St. Jude Mausoleum, Brook Park, Wednesday at 2:30 P.M.
