William G. Dangelo, 74, of Valley City, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family Saturday, July 15, 2017. Bill was born January 12, 1943 in Lodi, to the late William L. and Ruby (nee Funk) Dangelo. He had been a lifelong resident of Medina County.
Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran serving three years. He was a member of the Valley City VFW Post #5563. He had worked at Larson Foundry in Grafton for four years prior to his employment with General Motors in Brook Park for 38 years. Bill enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, hunting and was noted for his beautiful vegetable garden. He loved to visit casinos and dabble in the stock market. Bill greatest joy was his family.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Della (nee Ingram), married 51 years; children, Angelia (Alex) Nadiak, Anthony (Carrie) and Joseph (Bailey); grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, Nicholas and Ellis; brother of Rocky and Bernie Dangelo, Sharon Archer and Beverly Dobson and uncle to many.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry and sister, Vicki Dangelo.
Funeral service will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road, Valley City. The Reverend Bert Ambrose will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Valley City.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Valley City VFW Post #5563 or to the Emmanuel United Church of Christ.
